Feigned every bit of me
Just to catch your eye.
Say do you see me
Or are you trapped in a vial.
Show the door! Point your finger and let my mind escape.
Breathe it all into my ears and make me see the world again.
Tear me apart. Give me a start.
I wanna go, I wanna go!!
Caught in a daze...
There is my heart, meeting your heart
In the grounds of a sullen grey.
The men in green are on their way...
Their tasers shot, but I still fought
The demons in our brains.
(And I can find myself hidden in the plain sight.)
(I feel you sheathe me) Bless me tonight
If I make it out alive.
Assume, I'm out of words.
Conclude, its getting worse.
(Cold hands grope oh so sweetly) Bless me tonight
If I make it out alive.
Assume, that I've been sneaky.
Now conclude, it was too easy.
Push me back if I cross the line.
Pull me up if I'm left too behind.
I would, if I could take you back in time...back in time!
Confirmation of a prayer...
Said so secretly, I'm almost ashamed...
Make it disconnect. Visions calling out.
Disaffect. Reconnect.
Reconnected.
Make it disconnect. Visions calling out.
Disaffect. We ran into the maze, and have lost our ways.
Falling down is all I know...
Fault lines lead me straight to you...
My head's a weapon...
It’s a gun firmly pointed at me.
The sweat runs down the neck,
And I'm just a wreck
Waiting to fall asleep.
For all the regrets
I don't have no time to waste.
Like a map, my thoughts all lay.
I hope to run out of it.
(I feel you sheathe me) Bless me tonight
If I make it out alive.
Assume, I'm out of words.
Conclude, its getting worse.
I'm gon' tell myself....
"Nothing's gone away. Bear it, its just a phase.
Stay behind? Not today!
Lie to myself? In my face!
Knees weak? Don't be afraid.
Runnin' out of words to say."
Freak me up, and beat me down, or fix me up.
But no, sir no I won't stop in the way.
Nor I'm gonna run away.
Not this time. Not this time!
(I'm climbing my Everest)
I'm gon' climb my Everest.
Won't ever stop to catch a breath.
Just gon' see it through the end.
So hear me scream it out loud again

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
